Your Role

As a production engineer, you are an important link between design and production. You will be part of the industrialization area, where you, together with method development and tool design, develop and improve the conditions for production. Through dialogue with many of our internal functions, and your ambition to develop our working methods and digital tools, you contribute to achieving the lowest possible manufacturing cost without compromising function and quality.

Your tasks mainly consist of creating documentation that describes assembly sequences, assembly methods, and clear work instructions, which provide operators with the right conditions to build products efficiently and with the right quality. You also contribute to the development of new technical solutions and participate in the development of efficient production systems and assembly lines based on Lean principles.

As a production engineer with us, you will work with external customers such as Boeing and Airbus and products such as cargo doors and wing structures. Within the Production Technology Commercial section, the production engineering work for assembly and installation is carried out - from calculation, production preparation, and creation of production documentation to verification.

The workgroup currently consists of about 10 people. Within the group, it is expected that you want to collaborate and strive towards common goals. We work with a focus on feedback to each other to develop ourselves and the products. Together we become a little better every day!

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a technical university education or equivalent knowledge. Previous experience in production engineering within the aerospace industry specifically, or within the manufacturing industry in general, is an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have experience with preparation in IFS, Delmia, paced production, and knowledge of Catia.

Furthermore, we see that you are accustomed to working independently and taking your own initiatives. Since the work often takes place in teams, it is important that you are clear in your communication style. This will also be important in the work you deliver as it includes writing clear instructions and instructing and verbally explaining to people with varying levels of knowledge related to the area.

The position involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, which requires that you have good collaboration skills, as well as being curious and humble towards other people.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, require certain citizenship.
